Muzeit Privacy Policy

The Muzeit privacy policy is a statement covering how we use 'Personally identifiable information' (PII). Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information and data through our Application (“Muzeit App”) and www.muzeit.com site (“Our Site”) and provide services (“Muzeit Services”).

We aim at providing a safe and open Service for a broad community requires that we all do our part.
You can't impersonate others or provide inaccurate information.
You don't have to disclose your identity on Muzeit, but you must provide us with accurate and up to date information (including registration information). Also, you may not impersonate someone you aren't, and you can't create an account for someone else unless you have their express permission.
You can't do anything unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent or for an illegal or unauthorized purpose.
You can't violate (or help or encourage others to violate) these Terms or our policies, including in particular the Muzeit Privacy Policy. 

This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the Muzeit App End User License Agreement. Accordingly, when you (referred to as “you” and “Our User”) check the "I Accept" button or download the Muzeit App or use Our Site, you automatically agree to our collection, use, and disclosure of your PII in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, you may not download the Muzeit App and/or use any of MuzeitServices.

What personal information do we collect from Our Users and visitors to Our Site?

When registering or downloading the Muzeit App, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number or other details to help you with your experience. Facebook , Twitter and Google + connect are available as well are options of registrations.

We collect PII from Our User which can be used to easily identify Our User individually, such as name, mailing address, phone number, email address , contacts, photos and videos gallery, and music Library.
Non-Personal Information - We also collect "non-personal" information from Our User which cannot be readily accessed, and is necessary to personally identify Our User, such Non-Personal Information may include types of internet browsers, URLs of previous websites visited, ISP and operating systems, and IP addresses.

PII collected by us is kept strictly confidential and is processed for the purposes of providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving the Muzeit App and Muzeit Services and those of our Partners, such as for verifying your identity, recommending content based on interest of the user and his/her contacts, connecting other users who have downloaded the Muzeit App and have your contact details and the opposite, and providing member support. PII is also processed by Muzeit and may be processed by Muzeit Partners for the purposes of communicating promotional and informational materials. We may be obliged to disclose your PII under law, statute, regulation, or as requested by a governmental authority.

 

Permissions You Give to Us;
Permission to use your username, profile picture, and information about your accounts
You give us permission to show your username, profile picture, and information about your actions (such as likes) or relationships (such as follows) next to or in connection with accounts without any compensation to you. 
You agree that we can download and install updates to the Service on your device.

Additional Rights We Retain

If you select a username or similar identifier for your account, we may change it if we believe it is appropriate or necessary (for example, if it infringes someone's intellectual property or impersonates another user).
If you use content covered by intellectual property rights that we have and make available in our Service (for example, images, designs, videos, or sounds we provide that you add to content you create or share), we retain all rights to our content (but not yours).

Content Removal and Disabling or Terminating Your Account

We can remove any content or information you share on the Service if we believe that it violates these Terms of Use, our policies or we are permitted or required to do so by law. We can refuse to provide or stop providing all or part of the Service to you (including terminating or disabling your account) immediately to protect our community or services, or if you create risk or legal exposure for us, violate these Terms of Use or our policies (including our Muzeit Community Guidelines), if you repeatedly infringe other people's intellectual property rights, or where we are permitted or required to do so by law. If we take action to disable or terminate your account, we will notify you where appropriate.

Who Is Responsible if Something Happens.
Our Service is provided "as is," and we can't guarantee it will be safe and secure or will work perfectly all the time. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ALSO DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We also don’t control what people and others do or say, and we aren’t responsible for their (or your) actions or conduct (whether online or offline) or content (including unlawful or objectionable content). 
Our responsibility for anything that happens on the Service (also called "liability") is limited as much as the law will allow. If there is an issue with our Service, we can't know what all the possible impacts might be. You agree that we won't be responsible ("liable") for any lost, information, or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive, or incidental damages arising out of or related to these Terms, even if we know they are possible. This includes when we delete your content, information, or account.

Unsolicited Material.
We always appreciate feedback or other suggestions, but may use them without any restrictions or obligation to compensate you for them, and are under no obligation to keep them confidential.

Updating These Terms
We may change our Service and policies, and we may need to make changes to these Terms so that they accurately reflect our Service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (for example, through our Service) before we make changes to these Terms and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. Then, if you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not want to agree to these or any updated Terms, you can delete your account, here.

When do we collect personal information?

We collect PII from you when you download the app from the allocated stores or register the Muzeit App from Our Site or through Facebook, Twitter, Google + or email. We constantly keep your PII up to date while you are using the app or while it is running in the background.

How do we use your information?

We and our Partners may use the information we collect from you when you register, listen to a song or preview of a song, download a certain song, follow friends, lookup phonebook contacts to personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which Our User is most interested. 

As you are entitled to provide all necessary details to open an account, which shall include, name, address, contact email and/or personal telephone number. The details submitted by you in the registration forms are correct, true and complete. It is Your responsibility to update Your Account of any changes to Your registration details. You hereby expressly consent that We may, at our own discretion, disclose some or all of the details submitted to Us to the Company's - partners for the purposes of carrying out various functions required for delivery of Services, including for the purposes of verification and authentication of Your personal details, as well as for the purposes of communicating to You promotional material and information related to the app products and services. Please see Our Privacy Policy for further details, which you hereby accept. Should any of the information that You provide to Us be untrue, inaccurate, misleading or otherwise incomplete, You will be in breach of contract and We reserve the right to terminate Your Account immediately and/or prevent You from using the Services, in addition to any other action that We may choose to take.  

How do we protect visitor information?

As we understand the importance of the Information we receive from you, when using the app, we may collect, store and use the following personal information:  

  • information about the device from which you access our app (such as device identification, IP address, operating system, and version)

  • technical information about the app (such as version) you have installed

  • Information you have notified when you registered or afterwards in our app (such as e-mail address, country, name, user ID and language)

We hereby, assure you that keeping your data safe is a priority to us, and therefore we are committed to respecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal data. Nevertheless, if we were required by law to share any of your information, we or any of the companies working on our behalf always do so securely without sharing more than needed following high standards.

We use only the best, up to date, methods to protect your PII from unauthorized access or disclosure. All PII is transferred from and to Our Site using the latest encryption technologies. Whenever we obtain PII we use the most suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to secure such PII. Muzeit maintains a highly secure server possessing the latest firewall technologies available in today's marketplace, and we are committed to constantly updating our security systems to maintain high standards of online security.

Muzeit will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

Muzeit will store all PII on its secure servers.

Information relating to electronic transactions entered into via Our Site will be  protected by encryption technology.

Information that Muzeit collects may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which the Muzeit App operates to enable the use of the information in accordance with this privacy policy.

You agree, in becoming Our User, to such cross-border transfers of your PII.

Do we use 'cookies'?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's, phone’s or tablet’s storage through your Web browser (if you allow cookies) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of all Our User’s PII and  welcome any feedback about these products and services.

Google

Google's advertising requirements can be summed up by Google's Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users.

We use Google AdSense Advertising on Our Site and the Muzeit App.


Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to Our User based on their visit to Our Site and other sites on the Internet. Our User may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

Muzeit™  which is the trading name of Muzeit Ltd (“Muzeit” or “We” ) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy (together with the Muzeit ™ App user agreement as set out at www.muzeit.com/useragreement  (App UA) and any additional terms of use incorporated by reference into the App UA, (together Our Terms of Use) applies to your use of:

  • Muzeit™’s application (Muzeit ™ App) available from the App Store and www.muzeit.com (Our Site), once you have downloaded or otherwise installed a copy of the Muzeit ™ App onto your iPhone or iPad (Device).

This includes information you provide when you register to use Our Site, download or register the Muzeit ™ App, subscribe to or search for the Muzeit App or Muzeit Service, allow the Muzeit App to access Your device’s contact information (“Contacts”) so that You can see people you know using the Muzeit App and invite others to use the Muzeit App, make an in-App purchase, share data via Muzeit App's social media functions, enter a competition, promotion or survey and when you report a problem with the Muzeit App, the Muzeit Service, or any of Our Site. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, the Device's phone number, age, username, password and other registration information, financial and credit card information, personal description and photograph. When You click ‘Follow’ on the profile of another Muzeit App user through the Muzeit App you are giving your permission to share at least your name and phone number from your Submitted Information with that user, and if you allow other Muzeit users to ‘Follow’ you through the Muzeit App you give your permission for at least your name and phone number to be shared with them from your Submitted Information.

  • Information we collect about you and your device. Each time you visit Our Site or use the Muzeit App we may automatically collect the following information:

  • technical information, including the type of mobile device you use, a unique device identifier (for example, your Device's IMEI number, the MAC address of the Device's wireless network interface, or the mobile phone number used by the Device), mobile network information, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile browser you use, time zone setting (Device Information);

  • information stored on your Device, including contact information, friends lists, Your Muzeit login information, photos, videos or other digital content, check ins, your music, music videos and play count (Content Information);

  • details of your use of the Muzeit App or your visits to Our Site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access (Log Information).

  • Location information. We may also use wifi and IP data (not GPS) to determine your current, approximate location. Some of our location-enabled Services require your personal data for the feature to work. If you wish to use the particular feature, you will be asked to consent to your data being used for this purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using your iPhone settings for location.

  • Information we receive from other sources (Third Party Information). We are working closely with third parties (including, for example, music library updates on iTunes, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies) and may receive information about you from them.

Uses made of the information

We use information held about you in the following ways:

  • Submitted Information: Your name, Your mobile phone number, Your email address and other contact details, for the purpose of enabling your account to be identified, managed and supported by Muzeit.

  • Device information: Your Contacts, music library labels as selected by You (“Songs” and “Music”) Track Name, Artist, Album, Play Count, for the purpose of compiling your own Muzeit contacts list with whom you wish to share your Songs and Music.

  • Content Information: Using the Content Information to provide an enhanced experience for You, by enabling You and Your Contacts to be invited to participate in the Muzeit App, which the Muzeit App will automatically do a limited number of times for Your Contacts, make recommendations for You and Your Contacts, view new favourite music and music videos.

  • Location information: understanding Your preferences based on Your location to recommend convenient providers of music and other services near your location.

  • Log information: allowing You to login conveniently to the Muzeit Service and if a password is forgotten, enable Your login details to be refreshed.

We may associate any category of information with any other category of information and will treat the combined information as personal data in accordance with this policy for as long as it is combined.

We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but We may provide them with anonymous aggregate information about our users (for example, We may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal data We have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

Disclosure of your information

Where We store your personal data

The data that We collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. These staff may be engaged in the fulfilment of your request, order or reservation, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
